So the storm has passed and left it's mark. Sands shifted, docks shifted, rocks emerged and trees fell. We lost a couple trees up the hill but nothing substantial. We lost a lot of branches which made for good fires in the hot tub. Power came back around 2 am but we lost cell service in the morning. This made for fun times as we needed to meet a friend in sicamous to meet up with Queena and Kerry for their next adventure. However when Henry and Sylvia showed up they helped me push the dock back out, put barrels back underneath and got my water line put back together. It's amazing to be blessed with such wonderful friends. They also had working wifi at the house so I managed to send my mom a message to call Queena's ride and arrange our meeting. All worked out and at 3 pk we made the transfer. By the time mom and dad arrived it looked much better.
Here are some photos
Tuesday was a running around getting this up and running around fixing up the cabin again. We also greeting Ruth Martine, my cousin from Holland who came to visit us. We also talked about getting a paddle board from money given to me by a friend. So Marcel taught me how to rachet them onto my car and I went Wednesday morning to go for the paddle board.
We also went for groceries, bank run and the paddle board as well as some stuff for the house. The paddle board has been a big hit. The girls love it and so do it. Here is Tianna.
Riley has started walking with fingers. He loves it. He also loves the boat and could sit all day watching the boats go by, especially pake.
Now for me. It's been a bit harder these last few days. It's almost my anniversary and it's just emotionally hard seeing so many couples together and not having my partner in crime. Riley has also had some rough night and early morning s which has not helped. Its also the start of gems conference and I am going thru a little withdrawl. It's hard to see other gathering together as women of faith, seeing friends together from other years and wanting to be there. So its been an emotional week.
But... We are halfway. Yesterday was a month from the first riding day and tomorrow is a month to the last day....
So prayers...
Prayers for peace over my emotions
Prayers for safety as Reuben is in the US
Prayers for continued health and poop from Riley
Prayers for all those travelling to and from the cabin as we have lots of family coming his weekend!
Thanks and God bless!
