Happy Anniversary... 12 years

Today is the day, 12 years ago that i was so excited, up at 5 ready for the day excited about a day that had finally come after a few months of planning... you guessed it... it is our anniversary today.  12 years in the making :)

 





I know.... we are so young:)


So i have to admit i was not in the best of moods this morning.  Reuben had said he needed to plan his anniversary present for me before he left Vernon so i assumed he made plans with Jenn and Jason.  So last night i texted her asking her if she was coming today and if so if she could grab me a couple things from superstore as thats the closest one.  But she said she was not coming to the cabin so i went to bed thinking his plans didn't work just like mine.  So waking up in the morning i was a bit sad about it being my anniversary.  But when i went to put Riley down for a nap i came out and Henry and Sylvia  were there.  They had a special delivery from Reuben... a beautiful necklace :)

It made my day.  Such a small thing that can turn the day around.  Shortly after that Reuben called and asked if i got my delivery.... It was s nice.  He doesn't buy me necklaces or jewelry very often so this was a pleasant surprise.

Otherwise it was like any other day.  We got a few more visitors.  I have now 3 sets of aunts and uncles with 5 cousins here at the cabin as well as my older brother Tim and his wife Dee and 2 kids and younger brother Marcel all here at the cabin.  We enjoyed the busyness of new people and family to visit with.  It was nice to have so many people around and look like the party place at the lake.  Now we settle in for the night for a busy weekend with lots of family.

Riley moves more and more each day so it keeps me on my toes.  Today was a 3 napper in the heat so the girls got to watch a movie to get out of the water and sun.  Time to cool off and take a break.

So, now we wait to celebrate our anniversary in Halifax in less than a month :)
