Day 8, A boat trip to remember

Day 8 we awoke with excitement, the day i have been looking forward to so much was finally here!  We were going on Heilke's boat.  There were two families that had to leave the guest house, a quick clean and off we were to go..... however, the guests had other plans.  The one family was off and running before 9am but the others wanted to chit chat and hang around till almost 11, not quite what we were hoping for.  However, after a quick clean we were off and running.  Kaydence had feel asleep on the couch so we grabbed her and our stuff and went to the car for a short drive to the boat.  Once we were loaded onto the boat we headed out!  I was so excited.  I remember doing it when we were here in Holland in 2000 and it was fun.  We went down the canal and through a few small lakes like Sanmar and Grutte Gaastmar.  Than we went on to the bigger lake of De Fluezen, we pasted the island where Hennie and Jacob had their wedding photos done in 1995. It was very windy for the first half of the ride, we ended up putting the top up on the boat for the girls but we then could not see all the boats. After we went most of the way down the lake we stopped to have lunch at a campground outside of Kaudom.  Reuben and I had out first Krochetten of the trip and Tianna had her first panecoek.  Yum!

After lunch we went to the park for a little bit and than back onto the boat to continue home.  This time the wind had died and it was Hot Hot Hot!  We put more sunscreen on the girls and peeled off our jackets and sweaters from the first part of the trip.  We enjoyed the sun shine and the rest of the boat ride with the top down.  Because of the warm weather Tianna was having a great time and Kaydence feel fast asleep in daddy's arm.   Tianna was wired and pointing out all the birds, cows and sheep we saw.  She also loved to wave to the other boats we passed and say "Hoi" 

After a while Kaydence was awake again and loving the boat as well.  The two of them sat in the front and grinned at everyone.  It was too cute to watch. When we got back to the garage i hoped in with Heilke and Sonna Lobke and went into Workum while everyone else went home.  We went to the grocery shop and than a dress store and back to the house.  Than it was time to get ready to go to the wedding and have a quick supper!
