Day 7, Quiet day in workum and an evening at the farm

Day 7 was a quiet resting day.  After the busyiness of the day before we were glad to sit outside and watch the boats with Tianna.  Pake and Beppe's house is right on the canal of Workum so there are lots to boats to watch.  There is a bridge a few houses down that goes up to let the boats through and it keeps Tianna very occupied.  Today we allowed the girls to nap when they needed to and not worry about how long they would sleep.  We had no plans but to go to It heindenskip around 5pm to stay for the night.

I on the other hand, was a little restless, I wanted to get some freisland stuff before going home so when Kaydence went down for a nap I headed to find some shops and the Bakerij with Tianna.  Tianna and I found a bookhuis that had some thank you cards and some freis cards.  I grabbed a bunch of cards and than went to find a gift for Pake and Beppe.  I had no luck, i wanted to get something at the Bakerij but i could not find it..... opps.  I got a few other ideas and then headed back with Tianna to to house.  Reuben was just leaving to go with Pake to get the lawn mower from It Heidenskip so Tianna went down for a nap and i went to find my book.

When Reuben got back we had some lunch and then the girls woke up.  We fed them and proceeded to go for a walk so that Pake and Beppe could also have their nap.  We took some bread for the ducks and headed out.  We stopped first at the Bakerij and got some treats..... after getting the correct directions and than went to the flower shop to get a gift for Pake and Beppe.  We stopped at the house to drop off the flowers and went on our way to find the ducks.  However, we werte greeted with a very grumpy Tianna so we only fed a few ducks and went back to the house.  Kaydence went for another nap and Tianna had a rest.

Pake and Beppe awoke and i went upstairs to pack out bags.  However, we are finding that we leave a trail sometimes of things at other people's houses.  With Jeroen we did not leave anything that we know of but i think that something might be there.  When packing up here i forgot my shoes for the wedding and a spoon of Kaydence... opps.  However, we packed up most of our stuff and went to It Heidenskip for the evening.

Heilke and Klassje have a great little farm with a bed and breakfast, we were suppose to stay in one of their rooms but they were both booked so we took over their master bedroom..... we are so thankful for that.  it was a nice big bed and lots of room for the girls to sleep.  Tianna did not want to sto playing, there was so much to see and do.  Feed the goats, jump of the tramp, pet the horses, chase the chicken and chase the cats and dog as well.  The evening went well until Tianna decided to touch the electric fence, however she was wearing rubber boats so it was when reuben grabbed her that they both got a shock.  It scared her so bad, she wanted nothing to do with the goats afterwards.

Supper was awesome.... it was pork all spiced up with veggies and sliced fried potatoes.  It was soooo good.  They have such a different selection of food here, i would love it.  You can get all sorts of veggies grouped together and meats already spiced and ready to cook.  Its awesome.  You can also get full meals that just require cooking, like beef with veggies and rice all seperate in one container with all the spices you need for that meal.  It comes in 3 or 4 sizes and its just cool.  So easy and healthy.  I wish we had that in Canada.

After super the girls had a bath in their huge bathtub and went to bed.  We went downstairs and chit chatted while waiting for Sonna Lobke to come home from a liberation day party in Leewarden.  Twas a good day.
