Day six we were still in Workum to sleep but awoke, had breakfast and went to Joure. Christina was to celebrate her birthday with her family in the morning and than we would go for a walk in the afternoon. Reinskje's mom also lives in Workum so she picked up Pake and Beppe and drove them to Joure while we had Pake's car. There was a delivery truck blocking the main bridge in Workum so she could not get through so we were a little late and took the back road out to avoid the truck once again. It was about a 30 minute drive to Joure and the girls both feel asleep and awoke when we got there. Everyone was there to celebrate the birthday. Tianna was a bit shy at first but she found a swing outside and soccer ball and was good to go. The cutest part was her calling Remko Jeremy. We have always said that Jeremy and Remko look alike but we were still found it funny to see Tianna get so confused. Even at the wedding a few days later she still thought he was Jeremy.
Matthijs came home just after 1pm from working and than we did lunch and cake. It was good. Soup is always good in my world. Tianna and Kaydence both went down for a nap at lunch and when they awoke Pake and Beppe had left to go back to Workum. We had a cup of coffee and tea and went to Heeroveen for a nice walk and ice cream.
When we go to Heeroveen we found the place to walk and unload the kids and stroller. I had Kaydence in the sling and Tianna was walking with everyone. For those of you who have not walked anywhere with Tianna i should share that unless she has something to push of her own it is a stop and go senario. We stop for a flower, than a bug, than some grass or a puppy. Than it back to a flower and a bug and the cycle continues. You do not get to walk very far very fast. Eventually she would go onto your shoulders adn 5 minutes later want to come down..... so that was our walk. We eventually got to the map and found where the park and ice cream was and headed in that direction. There was some confusion about the way but i think it got solved.... Matthujs was right.... i think.
When we got to the park the ice cream shop was closed, not for the day but out of business so no ice cream for us today.So we decided to head back to the car and go for ice cream in Joure. Tianna was kinda upset but we kept telling her the ice cream would come. In Joure we had awesome ice cream, a new store and it was excellent! probably the best so far that we have had. after ice cream we headed back to the house for Dinner... spagetti. I have to laugh, eating with different families most nights is funny, they always have two comments.... how eating with kids takes patience and a lot more time and how much Kaydence eats.
Let me eleborate.... Kaydence is 7 months old and eats probably double what Tianna eats. She has her cereal/puree to start, usually before every one starts and than continues to eat normal food the entire time we eat. She will eat everything and anything. So far we have not found a food she does not like, spicey or not. Its aazing. Tianna on the other hand, eats like a little rabbit, a bit here, a nibble there but give her a slice of bread and it is gone. Yes, I know, just like me when I was little.... so i hear from everyone.
Now, back to the day. After dinner we sat and chatted in the living room, play some games outside with Tianna but eventually winding down and headed back to Workum. We got back around 10pm and the kids fell asleep in the car. Tomorrow was to be a quiet day in Workum with Pake and Beppe but we will see what really happends.
