Day Camp

This week started off quiet.   The girls have been going to gardom lake Bible camp for day camp yesterday and today.  It took a little convincing but loved it after the first day.  The first day they got to do the ropes course and some crafts and cooking and today was archery and the high ropes course. Both came home excited but did not do the high ropes course.Wednesday they are going back for a day at the encounter camp where they get to do the lava course and get real dirty.

Back at the cabin Riley and I are enjoyed those quiet days.  We did some errands on Monday and Tuesday we walked 2.5 km to Henry and Sylvia s house and back again after visiting for a few moments.  They couldn't believe it when I showed up at their doorstep.... It was fun to surprise them.  Wednesday was another day at home, enjoying the quiet and getting ready for the company we were getting the next day as well as the weekend.

We have been doing a lot of cabin tours, it's fun to show off the new build and see the looks of amazement when they come up to the new house.  The decking is slowly going down and inside we just finished the spray foam which looks like cotton candy according to the girls.  Soon the infloor heating system will be installed and then cement over that.

Thursday was a day of chaos to say.  We had Jenn and Jason come for the day to visit Jenn's parents one last time and I had to pick up a friend of mine and her son who are staying the weekend with me.  I am so glad that i had company this weekend as my parents went back to Calgary.  Ron and Monica also left after their 2 weeks here so its just the 6 of us.  Queena loves having a baby around and she has been a true blessing, and extra set of hands for a baby whos starting to move more and more.

The girls are loving having someone else around to play with, build sand castles and forts with and show off all the cool things at the cabin.  They found some dragonflies emerging from their nymph shells yesterday and today was a bunch of snails.  Its never quiet around here with those two.

Riley is 9 months old today, finally starting to like being on his stomach and is starting to move backwards faster than I would like.  He has not made any forward motions yet but he can almost get from his stomach to a sitting position so i know its only a matter of time.  He is also getting good at pulling himself up to standing which is a whole new adventure.  Here are some photos to show you....

So...  Now we go into another weekend.  Tomorrow Reuben will ride into Winnipeg where he will be joined by his parents who are volunteering for the next 2 weeks with Sea to Sea.  Please continue to pray for the 3 of them as they travel together.

As for other news, please pray for Reuben's Oma and Opa.  Oma fell down the stairs this last week and will be in hospital this weekend. Please pray that the weekend goes smooth wit Opa at home and that they can transition back to being home together again.

Thanks and God Bless
