The adventure begins

Wow... It's been a while since I blogged.  But i figured with the summer we have coming I would restart it.
Let me explain.....
Everyone calls me crazy but I think my husband is the crazy one.  This summer he is biking for Vancouver to Halifax with an organization called sea to sea, raising money to fight poverty.  Me, I get to live my dream and take our now 3 kids out to the cabin for the better part of the summer.  I think I got the better end of the deal... But that's just me.
Will it be a lot of work? Yes...
Will it be lonely at times?  I am sure.
Will it be the best summer ever?  I hope so.
Will it be long?  At times... But other times it will fly by.
Will I regret letting him go?  Maybe somedays but he has a dream and who I am to not let him go.
So now what?  For now.. our house is packed up.. I feel like we have everything but the kitchen sink, including my sewing machine. Reubens 60 lbs of gear is loaded as well as his bike.  By all looks we are ready to go.  Emotions are another story, for those of you who know me know that I am not good at goodbyes and this long draw out goodbye will be rough.  The next 4 days will be a lot of emotions... Driving to Vancouver, dropping him off at Trinity Western on Saturday, being there for the opening worship service on Sunday,  then the tire dipping ceremony on Monday.  Emotions will be running wild all week.  From the ocean we will head back to the cabin, meeting him in Vernon next weekend and then the following weekend in Calgary will be our goodbye for 7.5 weeks till we meet in Halifax.
So... now we drive... Enjoy the last few moments together and make the most of those days.  we pray for patience for myself with the 3 kids all summer.  Pray for Reuben as he rides as well as all the other riders and volunteers.  Pray for the girls who are already not wanting daddy to leave.  Pray for Riley who has not idea what is going on but we pray he will know who Reuben is when we get to Halifax.
Thanks for all your prayers.
