Potty Training 101

Potty Training has begun.  4 weeks ago we started Potty Training and it has been enlightening to say the least.

We started on Monday armed with a timer, new books, a lot of toys and not enough patience.  Every 30 minutes we partied in the bathroom, reading books and celebrating each pee.  It was interesting, lost 5 minutes were so so long...... it felt like it was forever.  She got an M&M everytime she sat on the potty adn 3 if she peed.  I felt like i spent all day in the bathroom and Kaydence got left in alone alot.  Tuesday was the same, and by the end of the day i was sick of the bathroom.  Monday we had 3 pees and 3 accidents.  Tuesday was 4 pees and 2 accidents.

Wednesday we changed things up, we went every 30 minutes, sang one song, if she peed we set the timer for 30 minutes, otherwise 5.  It worked great.  I sang a lot of twinkle twinkle little star and Jesus loves me as well as Itsy bitsy spider. Wednesday was 8 pees!

Thursday morning was out first outing and half way through our time at the park she came to me all upset becuase her stars were gone on her pullup.  I told her it was ok, put on a new one and she went on playing.  It was cute.  We had 7 pees today!

Friday was much the same, singing and peeing and it was great.  I was no longer living in the bathroom and Tianna was doing great.

Saturday in the day time was a first for daddy, he did very good and the evening was dinner at BPs.  Tianna had an accident on mom and fell into the big girl potty.  Twas not so good.

Sunday she peed at church and had a great day with no accident.

Monday was a disaster.  We had friends over in the morning and Tianna had about 6 accidents while they were there.  I finally put her in pull ups and let her go.  She was just too excited about playing with her friends to pee properly at the timer. The afternoon went much smoother.

Tuesday was much much better.  Panties, no accidents and a few little outings.  It went really good.  We also switched tatics to 45 minutes and only a reward if she peed.  It went pretty smooth.

Wednesday thru Sunday were the same and with no accidents all day and in panties.

At this point we were at the 2 week mark and we changed the stakes again.  Now Tianna had to go on her own to the bathroom, without my help while the timer was going off and pee to get a M&M.  We did this for a week, going off every 45 minutes.  Tianna loved it, she like having the responsbility of doing it herself and it worked all week.  By the end of the week the timer was not going off any more and we were off on our first road trip to Mara Lake.

Pooping has been an adventure but its going much better since the cabin, she even came inside on her own to poop today. Anyways...... enough about pee and poo.  Tomorrow will be all about our trip that did not want to end!
