A Fancy Nancy 5!

5 years ago Tianna Grace was born.  She has gone from a tiny little peanut to a reading, writing and fun loving kindergartener.  It has been an adventure raising this little girl.  She is shy and sweet, loving and caring.  But also has a temper that can flare at any moment.  She loves to be Fancy and loves to dress up, but put her in front of people.... well... thats a whole other story.

Today we celebrated with family and some friends.  We had a Fancy Nancy party with all the accessories you can imagine. It was fun.

Even the men got assigned some accessories to make them "fancy".... aren't they cute????

After we had a family lunch the family headed out and the friends came.  Cold and snowy weather kept a few people away but we still had a good time.  Tianna was spoiled rotten.  The kids dressed up, read a story, did a craft, had cake and ice cream sundaes.  All in all it was a lot of fun!

Oh... right... the cake.  This year was a "fancy" cake.  I am currently taking a course at Michaels for fondant and gum paste.  It is a 4 night course and 3 of those done now.  I have learned how to make roses, daisies, mums, carnations and calalillies.  All of the flowers that i learned to make made it onto the cake.  I even had some help.  I also made the purple bow, spirals, butterflies and #5 out of gumpaste/fondant and her name out of fondant.  A dear friend of my family made her a Fancy Nancy figurine for the top of the cake.  Here are the photos.
