Falling into Fall

What a weekend.....  Friday all the leaves started falling and so we had a blast piling up the leaves and jumping in them.  The kids had so much fun, i love this time of year.  I wish we had it longer but at least we enjoy the warm fall days that we get!
Warm ups are very important

On Saturday Oct 5 We headed out to Lake Louise for the day.  Reuben biked from Lake Louise to Canmore while I walked around Lake Louise and then hike Johnston's Canyon with the girls.  We did a little bit of walking at Lake Louise but it was really busy and snowing so we left.

Tianna did AMAZING!  She walked the entire time and never really complained.

At Johnston's Canyon there are many tricky bridges at Johnston's Canyon and Tianna loved every minute.  Kaydence was in the backpack for way out and then she walked the whole way back to the car.  Its slow and steady but she did really well.

The key to the success of walking... NERDS!  they each had a box of nerds to enjoy on the walk.  It was cute.

After hike we picked up Daddy in Canmore and headed back home.

Sunday was yet another adventure... we went to drumheller with my parents.  The kids once again had a blast.  Tianna loves tricky paths and climbing and this was perfect.  The first stop was Horseshoe Canyon.

ADORABLE
After Horseshoe canyon we went into drumheller and climbed the Worlds largest Dinosaur.

After finding all the dinos that we could we went to Rosedale to see the suspension bridge.  It was really cool.

Lastly we headed to the Hoodoos.  They are so cute and small and i am so glad that some are protected by rails and paths.  Behind the hoodoos is where you can explore....
In this photo you can see the hoodoos and the stairs very small and then the large hill behind.  Apparently it was our mission to climb that entire hill.  Man was it ever a climb....

On our way home the girls fell asleep.  Tianna woke at 10pm after being transferred and said her legs were sore.  Mine were too but i guess that's what happens when you have a weekend of hiking.
