Happy Fathers day ?!?!?!

Well, another family weekend and another Teresa disaster..... shesh.  I feel like i am falling apart but let me explain.

Saturday morning, woke up feeling like crap and wanting to hurl so i kicked Reuben out of bed and went back to sleep after much tossing and turning from pain in my lower abdomen and left side.  When i woke up 2 hours later the pain had subsided and we went to watch a friend complete an Olympic triathlon is 2 hours.... crazy.  The pain was there but only like someone was pushing my lower stomach on and off during the day.  In the evening i was nauseous all through dinner and was exhausted by 9pm.

Sunday I woke up feeling the same, a little nauseous but needed to go to church becuase I was in nursery and we were coffee hosts.  Went home WIPED from church and slept for 2 hours.  The pain never really went away but never really got as bad as Saturday morning so i said i would wait till the morning and see my family dr.

2am, I am awoken to what feels like someone stabbing me in the side, so bad I cannot move and want to puke.  My folks are out of town and my brother is not picking up his phone.  I do not think I can walk to the car so we called 911 and I got my first ride in an ambulance.  The beauty of going to the hospital like this is instant pain medication.  After the 3rd phone call we got a hold of my brother and he arrived shortly after the ambulance did, thankfully he lives like 4 blocks away from our house.

We arrive at the hospital, they check me out and give me the possibilities: kidney stones, ectopic pregnancy or twisted ovaries.... none of which sounds fun to me.  So blood work and other tests are done, thankfully i am not pregnant so I went for a CT scan to see if its kidney stones or twisted ovaries.  Sure enough the results come back with 1 5mm stone in my left kidney..... seriously.... i had no idea such a small rock could cause so much pain.  After a shot of some more drugs the pain is almost gone and we get discharged to delivery my rock at home.

Well.... that did not last long.  I had tried at the hospital to tell the DR that T3s do not work for me, they do not kill pain, just make me very very ill.  We arrived home at 5:30, I think i was asleep within 2 minutes of hitting my pillow.  But at 7am i was awoke with pain again and went straight for the T3s.  Sure enough....NOTHING. no pain relief on nausea as i suspected would happen.  So we called my friend at 8am to see if she can watch the girls, packed them up and went to her house.  By 9:05 we were back at the hospital where i waited in the waiting room for what seemed like an eternity (15 minutes in reality) and got a new IV and drugs once again.  By 10am I was drugged up to about a pain level 3 instead of 10 and so got more drugs.  15 minutes later was out cold from exhaustion, slept till 11:30, woke up and had to pee.  I had had 2.5 bags of IV fluids.  There was a LONG line for the potty and so walked to another area in the hospital, peed and found my little rock.  Brought it back and we were discharged shortly after noon.  Home by 1 and asleep about 2 minutes later.  Reuben went  to pick up the girls from my friends and I napped till 3.  The girls feel asleep at 3 and awoke at 4.

Nows it been a casual evening of spaghetti and close up before we head to bed.  The girls will be up late but they are helping daddy mow the lawn right now while I write this all down.  It has not really been a good spring for me, first with the broken foot on May 10 and now kidney stones just over a month later.  Hopefully I will get my cast off on Thursday and life will start to get back to normal.  I have to up my water once again, maybe 2 ltrs of water a day was just not enough and so now it will be 6 water bottles instead of 4.  Hopefully all this helps and the stones will never return.

I think the highlight for me of the entire day, if there is one to be had was when I was laying on the couch and Tianna came over and prayed for me.  "Jesus, please take the rock out of mommy's tummy soon, Amen"  So cute and such a 4 year old prayer, i am so glad that God hears the prayers of every one of his children, big and small.
