Jett's First Vacation

So this trip has been long since coming.  My nephew Jett Jason arrived at 29 weeks on Feb 5.  This past weekend was his first time out of Regina.  He is still tube-fed and has no real desire to eat.  His parents have been doing wonderful and are very strong people having only been married for 5 months before his arrival.  This weekend trip was also a first for my Sister in law Dee who had not been out of Regina since Christmas and was dying to see her Inlaws.

The weekend was jam packed full, like always.  Saturday was dinner at Old Spaghetti and a walk on Prince's Island.  It was a nice evening, the perfect way to start a weekend together after so long.

Sunday was church and a trip out to Spruce Meadows to watch the Horse Jumping Cups.  It was a great day, awesome weather and even better company.  Twas a little chaotic getting there but in the end we made it and got great seats on the grass.

Monday was stampede day..... The morning was quiet and after my dr's appointment to get Kaydence's stitches out we were going to head out.  The appointment was amazingly fast..... less than 10 minutes in the office, waiting time and everything.  Just what i needed, so we stopped at the bakery, grabbed food and went on our way.  Jett got fed when we got home and then off it was.  We stopped at mom and dad and then to Will and Angela to pick up the whole crew.  We arrived, found parking and got loaded up.  2 strollers full of food and babes..... 9 kids and 5 adults to start with my mom coming later.  We got our bearings, found some food and then split into 2 groups.  1 to save spots at the Ice Show and the other to do a few midway rides before the start of the show.  Needing to feed Kaydence and Tianna more then the 5 minutes we had before I headed with Mom, Heidi, Tim, Deanna and Jett for the show.  We looked at a few more animals just for Tianna.....

 The Ice Show was amazing.  We had great seats and had a blast.  Kaydence fell fast asleep and Tianna was mesmerized.  Twas good. After the show we were in the kids area so Tianna got to go on a few rides. She went on the Carasol, some Motor bikes and a fun house.  We had a good time.  The motorbikes she had to do by herself so was a little scared.  It was cute to watch her go but i did not have the camera so i have no photos :(

After that it was time to head back home and to dinner at my mom and dad's with everyone.  We had a good evening.  Playing and enjoying each others company. 

Tuesday morning began bright and early.  at 6am i heard Tim and Dee in the Kitchen.  When i came out to see what the problem was they said that Jett's tube had come out.  So we debated, waiting to call Darlene who was willing to put it back in if we needed or go to Children's to get it back in.  They opted to wait and call Darlene.  At 7:30, we called and she was more then willing to put it back in.  So they went over and were back shortly after 8:30.  Then it was stampede breakfast time at Market Mall.  Twas a good breakfast, a lot of people but decent food and great music.  The kids did good but i had food with me for the girls so that was good.  All in all we waited 45 minutes for food.... not too shabby.

Than it was lunch at mom and dad and  time for goodbyes.  Twas a good visit but everyone was ready to relax and crash after all the busyness.  Twas a great first vacation for Jett!
