I have created 2 different skirts.  A princess pleated skirt and a layered princess skirt.  Here are photos of two i have made for friends with my daughters wearing them.  Both of them were made for friends but Tianna also has her own.


Covers

Sling Cover

A few months ago i made a  random fleece cover for my slings.  I was finding that my neck and throat were cold while going for a walk with Kaydence in a sling.  Not wanting to always be repositioning a scarf to cover all the skin showing i starting looking into sling covers.  I found a few and made my own.  It was a little big, a little unfinished and not even close to perfect but it did the job.  I knew that I would need to fashion another one that was more professional but this would do for now.  So after Fabricland's last sale i bought some flannelette and wind/water resistant material to make another cover perfect for our weekend in Canmore and our trip to Holland.  I cut and revamped my first attempt at a cover and created a second, much better cover that will be amazing for both occasions.
So let me explain...... Its a vest idea..... Arm and leg holes for myself (of course) and an opening for baby's head.  Than there is a gather pouch for baby as she/he grows.  It has a zipper down the one side so that its easy to get on and off.  There is one more thing i need to add before its "perfect" for me.... another zipper for the chest cover.  I am finding that when it gets warm i want to be able to take that apart and cool down, plus it would be easier to get on and off.  So, that is the last step before we go to Holland, than it will be perfect!

Birthdays.....

This past weekend was a big weekend for our family.  We were in Canmore with my Moms family for my Grandma's birthday.  It was great to gather, hang out and celebrate together as a family.  We have not all been together since my grandfather passed away 2 years ago.  We were still missing a few members but all families were present which was awesome.  It was hard to see everyone go in the end but the time was great.
