Yesterday was a ball of emotions. The time change was hard as we were up late and wanting to be up early. Riley nicely woke.up.at 7:30 like a good little boy but fed and went back to bed leaving me wide awake and excited to see Reuben. So I laid in bed till 8:45 when Riley woke up again and then girls were up around 9:30. After grabbing some groceries we came back and debated what to do. Swim/nap/find daddy. Riley wanted nothing to do with a nap And it was getting closer to 12 so I called him but they were running behind so we drove the car long enough for Riley to fall asleep and went back for a swim. The pool is nice and refreshing... Aka... not heated. The girls took a little time getting in but once you were in it was good.
Matt and Emily came over as well and we hung out till all riders made it to the 5th pit stop and then we left for the beach 10 min away. We still had plenty of time to enjoy the beach while we waited for them to come in with police escort.
Finally that moment arrived....
Nothing was sweeter than that moment...
The afternoon was spent saying goodbye, hearing stories and packing up a bike.
The evening was spent out for dinner with Len and Ian and family.
The girls took Reuben for a late night swim and we start to adjust back to a family of 5 again... Ready for a week together here in Halifax.
